Sijuta Promotions boss Andile Sidinile is confident that he has a world beater in Duncan Village-born  boxer Mvuzukile Magwaca.Since the Cape Town-based  boxer came through from the Premier Boxing League (PBL) he has been nothing but a revelation with his biggest opponent being his growing frame.

Tonight, Sidinile will continue to build Magwaca’s international profile when he matches him against Mexican Jose Gonzalez for the WBA International bantamweight crown at East London’s Orient Theatre.

The 24-year-old will be fighting in the division for the first time having competed in the flyweight where he proved his boxing mettle when he beat current IBO junior-bantamweight champion Lwandile Sityhatha before holding talented Makazole Tete to a draw.

As if that was not enough, Magwaca closed his flyweight campaign with a decision win over former SA junior-flyweight champion Mfundo Gwayana.

“There is no doubt that Magwaca is the future world champion and we will do everything in our power to make him a major title-holder,” said Sidinile.

Unbeaten in 17 bouts, Magwaca is gifted with various fighting technique as he is able to brawl or box depending on the type of opponent in front of him.

Against Gwayana he started by brawling before switching to using his boxing skills and totally flummoxed the left-handed foe.

Coincidentally Gwayana will also feature on the undercard when he takes on Luzuko Siyo in a flyweight duel.

The bout will pit former national champions against each other but Siyo has been reportedly struggling to make the weight for the fight and might enter the fight drained.

Other bouts on the card include a WBA International mini-flyweight title defence by Luzuko’s cousin  Siyabonga who will oppose Filipino Lito Dante.

East London’s rising female boxer Leighandre Jegels will get her first international opponent when she takes on Argentinean’s Liliana Gonzalez while Olympic star Siphiwe Lusizi will officially shed his amateur vest when he tackles Bongani Ngceshe in a middleweight bout.

There will also be a vacant title up for grabs when Lindile Tshemese and Sithembiso Faye do battle for the SA junior-bantamweight diadem.
