Court ruling may halt Eastern Cape ANC elective conference

The ANC in Eastern Cape may have to shelve its elective conference due in two weeks if the Mthatha High Court nullifies the outcome of the 2015 O R Tambo regional elective conference.

The case scheduled for tomorrow will see well-known Mthatha lawyer Mvuzo Notyesi – who represented Winnie Madikizela-Mandela in her case to win the Mandela homestead in Qunu – battle the ruling party.

This follows an application by ANC O R Tambo branch member Bandile Ntamo for the court to nullify the outcome of the regional conference held in 2015 from October 16 to 18.
