Social networks were abuzz last night and early this morning with millions from all over the world sending messages of condolences to the Nelson Mandela family and the rest of the country after his passing.

The late Walter Sisulu’s grandson, Shaka, said: “Let's say our prayers tonight, for the safe passing of Madiba's great spirit. Let the ones who've gone before him receive him and comfort us.”
DJ Sbu said: “The greatest man of all time. Rest in peace Mandela. "
South African comedian who is currently in the states, Trevor Noah, said: “One of the funniest and most amazing human beings I've ever met. We celebrate your life. VivaMandela.”
