Their first show will take place in Stellenbosch next week on Tuesday. East London will be their second stop.

The Curious Incident will perform at Raggies Sports Bar in Beacon Bay.

Manager Dylan Pearson said they had hosted a number of “incredible” bands from around the country and abroad.

“We intend to keep doing that for years to come.

“We have our own unique feel and style, we have always tried to be different to the rest of East London’s offerings,” he said.

Pearson said they had an Australian band along with some “well-known” national bands lined up for the festive season.

The Curious Incident is led by Cavey Roberts on vocals and guitar, Mirko Piconese on lead guitar, Dan Bowery on bass and Diego Diaz on drums.

The band was founded by South Africa-born Roberts in 2010. The other members are from Italy, England and Indonesia. They are all now based in the UK.

Roberts said the last time they had been on a South African tour was in 2012 and they could not wait to perform again.

Describing their sound, Roberts said it was a mix of pop and rock with a Caribbean twist.

“We just want people to come to our show and make at least four new friends, which is us, and have some fun,” he said.

The Daily Dispatch, in partnership with Raggies Sport Bar, is giving away five double tickets.
