When Aminah Hart chose a sperm donor during her fertility treatment, all she knew was that he was “happy and healthy”.

She was yet to learn that those simple words described not only her IVF baby’s father, but her future husband.

For Hart, a London-born Australian, later met her sperm donor and, she has revealed, the couple are now married.

Describing her romance as “back-to-front” and “far-fetched”, former advertising executive Hart, 46, said yesterday she married Scott Anderson, a cattle farmer, at a quiet service in December.

The pair managed to keep their union secret up until now, despite making global headlines when their relationship emerged two years ago after they were profiled on Australian television.

He had ticked a box to indicate that he was willing to be contacted before his daughter, Leila, turned 18.

They subsequently met when Leila was one.

She added: “Sometimes we do look at each other and go, ‘You and I met through and we’re married now’. It’s kind of bizarre.”
