Ram Slam T20 cricket is a go as the Warriors are all set to host the Multiply Titans at Buffalo Park with the match getting under way at 6pm tonight.

Heavy rain over the past week threatened to see the match cancelled, but with the sun out and Border cricket ground staff working in over drive, everything is on course for a full match.

“The sun is out and play is very possible today after the recent rains, but we’re all good to go for a 6pm start,” said Border Cricket Groundsman Ashley Nel.

It should be a cracking spectacle tonight with a star studded Titans team on the cards, while the Warriors will be gunning for their first win of the competition.

The Titans will have Proteas fast bowling legend Dale Steyn set to play his second match, after he made his return from a year long injury lay-off during Wednesday's match against the Knights.

Other Proteas stars in the side include the inform AB De Villiers who has already smashed 93 runs off just 39 balls over two matches in the Ram Slam so far, Quinton de Kock, Farhaan Behardien and Aiden Markram while other players with national experience include captain Albie Morkel, Henry Davids, Tabraiz Shamsi, Lungi Ngidi and Dean Elgar which makes for an incredibly intimidating line up.

The Warriors will be looking to their star players like the inform Christiaan Jonker, captain Jon-Jon Smuts, Colin Ingram, Colin Ackermann and Sisanda Magala to be firing on all cylinders to challenge the mighty Titans line up.

Buffalo Park has also produced some massive scores in recent times, including the biggest international score at the ground scored by the Proteas against Bangladesh and the biggest provincial chase in SA cricket history by Border against Western Province all in the last month, so runs galore should be on the cards.

So fans are encouraged to get down to Buffalo Park and enjoy the match.

Tickets are available from the Buffalo Park ticket office at R60 for adults and R30 for scholars and pensioners.
