Mayor says sorry for theft incident

THE executive mayor of Buffalo City Metro (BCM), Fukiswa Ncitha, yesterday issued an apology to four international golfers following a theft incident at the Garden Court Hotel.

ADILSON da Silva asserted his dominance in the à 1-million (about R11.77-million) Africa Open when he dipped 10 shots under par in his weather-interrupted first round yesterday morning and shot a second round 68 in the afternoon to take pole position at the East London Golf Club.

A RED-HOT Jaco van Zyl stamped his authority on the Africa Open with an impressive six-under-par 66 on a day that saw the bulk of the field struggle in the extremely windy conditions at East London Golf Club.
