Daily Dispatch editor Bongani Siqoko has issued a warm invitation to readers to meet him and the news team over a cup of coffee tomorrow morning.

“We want to break the wall between the writer and the reader. A lot of reporting is done over the phone these days and we want to bring back face-to-face interaction.”

Siqoko urged readers to speak to Dispatch journalists about the stories they would like to see covered.

“We want to know what is not working in their communities, but most of all we want them to come with examples of what is working. We want to know who their heroes are – those who are not waiting for the government but are doing things for themselves.”

Siqoko, senior editorial staff and reporters will be stationed at the following cafes and restaurants around the city between 9am and 11am tomorrow.

Nahoon: Sprouts – Editor Bongani Siqoko and senior metro reporter Barbara Hollands;
