Position: Credit Manager – Accounts Receivable (Debtors)
Reporting to: Financial Manager
Department: Circulation
Location: Gqeberha
POSITION OVERVIEW
To supervise the credit control and debtors functions.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES / OUTCOMES
• Take overall responsibility for the following sections: Circulation Debtors Section (Core focus on Retail channel including Retailers, 3rd parties/contractors delivering to retail and wholesalers).
• Manage Internal Controls
• Monitor and Maintain outstanding debtors days at an acceptable level.
• Manage performance of debtor’s team including delegation and monitoring of the work done by the credit controllers, including disciplinary and performance issues.
• Maintain Discipline.
• Assisting with Credit Management Functions
• Highlighting overdue accounts in age analysis.
• Business Risk and Cash Management
REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must meet the following requirements in order to be considered for the position:
• Matric with Accounting
• Credit control diploma will be an advantage
• 5 years’ experience in accounts receivable dealing with Commercial & National Supply Chain Stores Accounts
• 5 years supervisory experience
• Drivers licence
