Mbuku said she grew up in a musical family. Her parents are pastors and would worship every night.
“It was only in high school that I realised I could hold a note and when I was 19, I joined Stand,” she said.
She said being on the show was like being a part of a family. “Even if a person doesn’t win they will come out with something. We get to network with established producers and musicians and learn from them.
