House hitmaker Mobi Dixon has done it again.

Less than a week after releasing his latest single titled Trigger, the East London-born DJ has received major airplay from leading stations across the country.

Speaking with the Daily Dispatch yesterday, he said it had taken him close to a year to work on his latest single featuring Inga Hina.

“We recorded the song last year in July and I was busy working on it in between my shows. I also had to wait for the right time to release it and now is that time.”

Mobi Dixon, whose real name is Mabi Ntuli, said Trigger was the first song for his upcoming album titled Live the Music.

In May this year, Ntuli signed an exclusive licensing agreement with Sony Music Entertainment Africa and House Afrika Records, which will see them release his sophomore album later this year.

Ntuli’s debut album Tribal Soul, released last year, saw him receive his first Metro FM and South African Music Awards this year. He was nominated alongside the likes of Black Coffee, Mi Casa, DJ Merlon, Junior Taurus and Lady Zamar.

His hit singles City Rains and Love Colour Spin saw him gain popularity all over the country and taking his music to the UK. On the singles he worked with musicians M.que and Msaki.

On his upcoming album, Ntuli said he has worked with a number of Eastern Cape artists.

“I am working with a number of artists from back home but there is also national and international artists as well,” he said.

The song is available from iTunes, Google Play and other online stores. The album is expected to be released later in the year. — poliswap@dispatch.co.za
