FED-UP with having to use bucket toilets, disgruntled informal dwellers from NU1 in Mdantsane yesterday  marched to a councillor’s house and threw buckets of sewage at it.

The residents claim the councillor promised them that a project to build flushing toilets would start on June 14 and community members will be employed.

BCM spokesman Thandy Matebese said the sanitation depart ment was currently busy emptying existing pit latrines with 32 already completed.

“Consultants are currently busy with the design to link the house holds to the waterborne sanitation networks,” Matebese said.
