Buffalo City metro executive mayor Zukiswa Ncitha faces arrest after the prosecution team in the Mandela memorial fraud case applied for a warrant of arrest for allegedly violating bail conditions.
Warrants have also been issued for council speaker Luleka Simon-Ndzele, and councillor Sindiswa Gomba.
The application for the warrants follows their participation in a council meeting on April 29 at which a decision was taken to suspend municipal manager Andile Fani over tender and financial irregularities.
Fani is a key witness in the Mandela memorial fraud case.
