“I hope the two boxers know the importance of this fight, but I know that Faye has been frustrated because he has been rated as a top contender for a while now,” Sidinile said.

The junior-bantamweight division is one of the newest weight classes in the land but it has produced   fighters such as top pound-for-pound star Zolani Tete.

In fact, at least two South African boxers hold world titles in the division, with Tete still considered a world champion despite relinquishing his IBF crown recently.

Lwandile Sityatha also calls himself a world champion in the division as he is the belt holder of the IBO.
