Nearly 100 pupils from a rural Eastern Cape primary school were left sitting on the floor when their desks were removed by the Sheriff of the Court.
She said this was not the first time it had happened and she fears that it will happen again.
“The people who were here to remove the furniture told the school that they will be back to remove the fence and roofing.
“We really don’t support this, particularly as it is being done by a person from this same village.
“The department of education should act and save this school,” said Poswa.
In January this year Sanqela locked the school gates and in 2012, a photocopy machine, office furniture and administration cupboards were removed. “At that time they were given a period to pay the money but they failed and we sold them,” he said.
“We will do the same if the department fails to pay me.” — bonganif@dispatch.co.za
