East London wine lovers will again get the opportunity to taste some of the country’s top offerings when the annual FNB Eastern Cape Wine Show returns – this time over two nights.

Marketing guru Alex Mason-Gordon said due to the overwhelming support the event received last year it was decided to spread this year’s event over two days.

From red to white, from sparkling, to cabernet sauvignons, merlots and shiraz, Mason-Gordon said audience members would find something to suit every taste with more than 150 wines from the country’s wine regions.

A retail facility, called Shop@Show, will also allow show goers to buy the wines they enjoy to take home.

“We are still in the process of confirming all exhibitors who are coming on board, a process we will be engaged in until close to the end of February and we will release the names then,” said Mason-Gordon.

“But what I can say now is that we will have a huge cross section of different types of wines from a number of exhibitors and they will all be of the highest calibre.

“Its important to note that exhibitors get a chance to market their wines at this event so they will obviously only present their best.”

Tickets for the event cost R160 and include unlimited tastings, a wine tasting glass and a wine show guide.

Light meals will be on sale at the venue. Tickets can be bought at Computicket, Shoprite Checkers or at the door.
