Music in park

MUSIC in the Park takes place Sunday from 3pm at Berea Gardens Valley. Performances include Hudson Park brass band, Selborne College military band, Stirling High School jazz band, Merrifield Marimba band, Caledonian pipe band etc.

All funds raised will go to Rotary projects and the participating school bands. Tickets R30 (adults) available at the door. Children under 12 and pensioners are free.

Cabbage craziness

THE Cabbage Patch run takes place this Saturday in Komgha from 11am. There will also be a farmer’s market, kiddies’ fun and a beer garden. Starting times: 15km: trail walk: 2.30pm; trail run: 3pm; 5km trail fun run: 3.10pm. There are also new 40km and 20km MTB routes! You can enter on the day at venue from 11am.

Oval racing

JOIN the dirt oval racing this Saturday at the Border Stock Car racing track from 1.30pm. Tickets cost R50 and children under 12 get free entry.

The show brings to life the stars and songs from the early ’20s when Cole Porter was the hit-maker, right to the present day.

The seasoned production team of Amanda Bothma, Germaine Gamiet, Vicky Luff and Kerry Hiles has selected the best of vocalists to bring to life the magic of Broadway. Tickets are R100.
