Gospel star‚ SbuNoah recently opened up about a very tough time in his life‚ which ultimately inspired his widely popular song‚ Ngiphephile.

Taking to Instagram on Wednesday‚ The Joyous Celebration singer (real name Sibusiso Mthembu) explains that although the name of the song means 'I'm safe'‚ it was written from a “very cold place”.

“I didn't feel safe at all! The world was showing me flames‚” he wrote. Adding‚ “Ngishintshelwa abangani ‚ things not going according to my plans‚ realising that not everybody has your best interest at heart‚ a lot happening at the same time!”

Speaking of how he was able to get back on his feet‚ SbuNoah said his faith in God helped him to get to where he is right now.

“Am I where I wanna be? Probably not‚ but I'm glad I'm not where I was‚ and will declare that "Ngiphephile" until I feel it! Call it lying to myself‚ I call it faith!” he said.
