Mzansi Magic scores another Xhosa hit with Isikizi
Following the success of Mzansi Magic’s Igazi‚ the channel has once again conjured up a spell on its audiences with their latest Xhosa drama series‚ Isikizi.
The drama made its much anticipated debut last night and soon found itself on the local Twitter trends list‚ a position that was constantly held by Igazi.
The drama‚ based on the Greek myth of Oedipus‚ is set in rural Eastern Cape and tells the story of a young man who faces a number of challenges‚ including greed‚ desire and incest‚ following a prophecy.
With such an interesting‚ and slightly controversial‚ storyline the show was bound to be a hit with fans.
