A new student representative council (SRC) executive could not be sworn in at Walter Sisulu University’s Buffalo City campus yesterday after a stalemate regarding the allocation of seats.
Late yesterday three student organisations – the South African Student Congress, PanAfricanist Student Movement of Azania (Pasma) and the Student Christian Organisation (SCO) – were expected to meet in order to find a way forward.
The Daily Dispatch learnt that the new SRC has yet to be constituted following SRC elections last week.
