Court date for principal charged with sexual assault

The principal of a primary school in Dimbaza appeared in the Zwelitsha Magistrate’s Court yesterday accused of stripping a 10-year-old pupil and forcing him to walk around the school naked as a punishment.

The principal, 60, has been charged with sexual assault. She cannot be named until she has pleaded to the charge before regional magistrate James Fritz.

The complaint was filed in October by the child’s guardian.
