As officials celebrate at Tambo’s birthplace, villagers feel let down

While the provincial government will be celebrating Freedom Day at OR Tambo’s birthplace in Mbizana today, and preparing for his 100th birthday, residents of his Nkantolo village have complained of broken promises and a lack of development.

Premier Phumulo Masualle, who is also ANC provincial chairman, will be in Mbizana to lead his MECs, the ANC and Eastern Cape community in celebrating 23 years of freedom and democracy in South Africa.
