The driver of a Gauteng registered SUV Land Rover has died after his vehicle left the road and hit an embankment on the N2 near Hemingways Mall.
Police spokesman Captain Mluleki Mbi has confirmed this, saying a passenger had been rushed to hospital.
Traffic officers are on scene controlling the heavy traffic.Traffic is very slow on the road as only one lane has been opened.
