WATCH: Cops search for baby after frustrated mom takes her back from magistrate
After weeks of frustration, Phumza Kadeni, the Mzamomhle mother whose eight-month-old daughter was allegedly taken and kept by her former employer, managed to take her baby back this afternoon from magistrate Michelle Pillay's Gonubie home.

Kaleni reportedly visited the baby at magistrate home, as she was recently granted visitation rights. However, she allegedly took the baby and gave her to family members over the fence. Kadeni’s relatives then drove away with the child, but she remained at Pillay’s house.
Police had to intervene to try and find the baby. A number of police vehicles with several police officers, led by Gonubie police station commander Lieutenant-Colonel Tolisile Mdyogolo, drove around Mzamomhle where the baby was believed to have been taken, to get the child back.
Mzamomhle residents however rallied together in Kadeni's defence and refused to release the baby. Scores of community members hurriedly gathered up to protest against the police.
After failed efforts to find the baby, the police took Kadeni and a family member implicated in the matter back to Gonubie police station where they are currently being questioned.
The whereabouts of the child are still unknown.
