Ululations and celebrations were the order of the day at the weekend in Prudhoe village in Peddie as a historic 20-year land claim was finalised in favour of the villagers.
The 10500ha of land is nestled between Fish River and Mpekweni River. Two main resorts – the Fish River Sun, which has since closed down, and Mpekweni Resort – are situated on the land.
