Sonjicawas found guilty in 2015 of raping a minor after he dragged a teenager into a Duncan Village shack and raped her.

Sonjica, a former IBO world and South African junior featherweight champion, was arrested in Duncan Village on Sunday. East London police spokesperson Warrant Officer Hazel Mqala said the 27-year-old was arrested by the family violence and sexual assaults unit.
