Ayanda "Mtirir" Matika, the man accused of killing Amalinda businesswoman Busisiwe Ngwadla, has failed in his bid to be released on bail.
After a lengthy bail application, the 50-year-old's bid was finally rejected in the East London district court on Monday morning.
He will appear in the East London magistrate's court later this week when a date for his trial will be set.
