DA MPL Yusuf Cassim was involved in a car accident in wet conditions near Peddie on Friday morning.
Cassim was travelling from Port Elizabeth to Bhisho in a Chevrolet Cruze to attend a portfolio committee meeting.
“I'm fine I lost control of the vehicle. It was an unavoidable accident. I lost control of the vehicle. It's the wet road. The car was badly damaged.”
DispatchLIVE reporters also witnessed a silver grey Nissan hardbody bakkie moments after it collided with a truck on the R346. There were no injuries.
