Buffalo City Metro is calling on the public to assist in identifying individuals who were caught on drone footage, allegedly while in the act of stealing cabling.
The incident took place in East London, near Cambridge.
"Every year the Municipality loses millions of rands to cable theft and communities are severely affected," said BCM spokesperson Samkelo Ngwenya.
He said anyone with information individuals which could assist people in the apprehension of the suspects should call the 10111 police emergency number, Cambridge Police Station on 0437097500 or BCM Revenue Protection on (043) 705 9214.
