Strong winds wreak havoc in Flagstaff, Lusikisiki

Strong winds on Monday evening left a trail of damage in a school and several households in Flagstaff and Lusikisiki.

O R Tambo district municipality spokesperson Zimkhita Macingwane confirmed that the storm ravaged four homes in Nkozo village, situated in ward five in Flagstaff, as well as several classrooms at Nkozo Junior Secondary School.

This comes barely two weeks after hundreds of households were destroyed by a tornado in the region.

Macingwane said a full assessment of the damage was underway.
