With the help of CCTV footage, Maclear police have arrested two suspects linked to a tavern murder.
The lifeless body of the 20-year-old victim was found lying outside the tavern in Maclear with stab wounds on November 22.
Eastern Cape police spokesperson Colonel Sibongile Soci said investigating officers collected the CCTV footage from the tavern as part of the investigation.
"Two days later, witnesses identified the two suspects on the footage as Khanyiso Mankonkwana, 24, and Siboniso Rwexwana, 25," said Soci, adding that Rwexwana was also positively linked to another 2016 murder.
Both suspects were arrested for murder and appeared in the Maclear magistrate's court on November 26.
They were remanded in custody after the case was postponed to December 7 for a formal bail application.
