Two people died in a head-on collision on the N2 road near the Amalinda off ramp in East London on Monday morning.
Provincial transport spokesperson Unathi Binqose said: “An SUV with one occupant collided head-on with a sedan with two occupants,” Binqose said.
“The sedan caught fire and both its occupants died on the scene.”
He said the driver of the other vehicle had been rushed to hospital with serious injuries.
