Bloemfontein Celtic have officially appointed Serame Letsoaka as their head coach.

Letsoaka, who resigned from Golden Arrows sighting family issues as his reasons, joins Celtic after the departure of Clinton Larsen and will immediately take charge of the team.

“Words cannot describe our utter joy, to sign a coach of such impeccable credentials with an incredible work ethic,” Celtic CEO Max Tshabalala expressed his excitement.

“He is a steward of South African football, having served the country at the highest level as a SAFA Technical Director and also possessing high coaching qualifications and also serves as a CAF Coaching Instructor.

“We are a futuristic institution believing in our own talent and Serame is an appropriate choice to help us fulfil our long-term vision.

“He has a wealth of experience, working with youth at different national levels and that will also benefit our development sides.”

Tshabalala added: “The culture of the team is paramount, there were a lot of applications from afar as Spain but we felt that Serame (as a South African), will be the appropriate choice as he is more familiar with our style of play.

“The reality that is Celtic is a huge brand and needs a genuine leader like Letsoaka to guide us to greater heights,” concluded the Celtic chairman.

Letsoaka will be unveiled by the club on Monday, December 7. -News24 Wire
