Caster Semenya looked calm and dominant as she ran in the heats of the 800 metres on Wednesday‚ dipping under two minutes and showing no sign of nerves on the world’s biggest stage.
The semi-finals are on Thursday‚ which means Semenya – dubbed the “Unlimited Cobra” by her fans‚ would have Friday off ahead of Saturday’s final (Rio time).
South Africans can expect to see the final at 2.15am on Sunday morning.
Semenya is expected to add another gold to SA’s haul of seven medals to date‚ comprising one gold‚ five silver and a bronze.
