AMAKHOSI MASTER SWIMMING CLUB
Our Legendary Life Member of Amakhosi Masters Swimming Club and lover of all things swimming, passed away on Wednesday morning, the 15th September 2021.
A professional swimmer with close on 40 years of Masters Swimming and an active member of our club and committee, will be sorely missed by all past and present masters swimmers.
He competed in 8 World Masters Swimming Championships, winning 11 medals and is famously known as the first person to have swum across Lake Kariba.
His “office” at the Joan Harrison Swimming Pool, next to the Diving Pool may now be empty, but his spirit and presence will always be felt.
Our condolences to his family and friends.
Joe and his colourful Crocs will be sorely missed by all who knew him, RIP Joe!
