Financial Manager

VM Automotive is looking for a Financial Manager to be located at its Berlin plant in the Eastern Cape.

The successful candidate will report to the Financial Manager and is to provide exceptional financial accounting and financial reporting services for both our Rosslyn and Berlin plants.

A newly Qualified Chartered Accountant would be preferred.

Responsibility:

You will be responsible for but not limited to:

• Preparation of management accounts

• All regular reporting

• Assist CFO with cashflow management

• Assist in the execution and finalization of the annual financial audit

• Debtors’ account management

• Ownership of the full trial balance and related recons and processes

• Assist in the review and approval of payments

• Fixed Asset Register

• Management of import freight forwarders

• Assist in stock control and management

• Assist with financial analysis and reporting

• Assist HR with management of employee related payments and benefits

• Responsible for supplier management

• Assist in supplier procurement and negotiations

• Where required oversight of accountant and administration assistants

• Such financial functions as may be assigned by the CFO

Requirements

• Minimum of B.Com / B.Com Honours in Financial Accounting or related qualification

• Newly Qualified CA(SA) would be preferred

• Completed articles

• Minimum 2 years post articles experience

• Proficiency in all MS Office products with a focus on Excel

• Attention to detail and result orientated

• Excellent communication skills (English and Afrikaans) - verbal and written

• Sound interpersonal relations, time management and accuracy

• Experience with automotive sector component manufacturing and imports would be advantageous
