Trevor started a crowdfunding page for the initiative last week and has so far raised over R191‚000. He has promised to match any donations rand-for-rand up to R2-million.
Trevor shared information about the initiative at the Global Citizen Festival over the weekend and got a pledge of $50-million from Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
Trevor is not letting up on his efforts to raise funds and launched a competition for people to win an epic trip to New York to appear on the show as a guest.
