Four people died at the weekend in East London in different incidents.
In Duncan Village, a man was arrested after allegedly beating his lover to death on Saturday with a golf club, East London police spokeswoman Warrant Officer Hazel Mqala said.
The man was arrested and is due in court today.
In the same street in Duncan Village, two men, aged 49 and 27, were shot and killed on Friday night.
