A 37-year-old Duncan Village man, who allegedly raped his girlfriend’s eight-year-old niece in 2016, and her 10-year-old friend who stayed next door from their Duncan Village shack in 2017, is applying for bail at East London Magistrate’s Court.
The man, whose name is known to Dispatch, cannot be named as that would reveal identity of his alleged victims.
He is said to have raped the 10-year-old in May 2017. This after she had come to play in his home he shared with his girlfriend, his six-year-old daughter and the eight-year-old niece.
Both young girls also cannot be named due to sensitivity of the matter. During his bail application today, he denied being involved in the allegations against him. His bail application was postponed to Thursday morning.
