An East London woman was shot and killed by a police officer believed to be her husband, in an alleged love triangle.

A second victim, believed to be the wife's lover survived the shooting and was rushed to hospital.

The incident happened this morning at 10 at Voorpos Primary School in Cambridge West.

It is alleged that the wife was with the second victim inside the car, when the suspect stopped dead in front of them at the school's gate, pulled out his gun walked over to the victim's car and fired the shots.

According to witnesses four gunshots were heard. When the Dispatch arrived at the scene police had cordoned off the scene. The suspect had been arrested and was inside a police van.
