On the third day of protest action in Stutterheim numerous roads around the small town have been closed “due to protest action”.
Eighteen protestors who were arrested yesterday are expected to appear in the Stutterheim Magistrate’s Court today.
According to transport spokesperson Unathi Binqose the following roads are closed:
• R58 Elliot towards Ngcobo
• R61 Ngcobo near Masonwabe township towards Mthatha
• R56 Elliot direction to Maclear
• Bhisho Independent road near Sweet Waters
• Stutterheim entrance to Mlungisi township..
