WATCH | Tense standoff at Vincent ambulance base

Emotions are running high at the Vincent ambulance base after the police charged the protesting workers and opened fire, threw stun grenades at them and manhandled the female ambulance drivers.
According to the police, the protesters were demonstrating at a national key point and had to forcefully be removed The angry workers charged back at the group of police and were deadlocked in a verbal altercation as the workers demanded answers to why they were shot at.
"Cops were here all day today and they saw us here. Why did they shoot at us today... They came charging at us without even giving us time to disperse," an angry ambulance driver said.
The EMS workers also accused their management of selling them out and sending the police to shoot at them. The police have moved across the road and are watching the situation from a distance...
