A 46-year-old man was arrested in Centane for allegedly raping his wife. The couple is alleged to have been separated at the time.
Captain Jackson Manatha, of the SAPS, said: “Centane police arrested a 46-year-old man for the alleged rape of his wife aged 35.
“The victim went to the home of the suspect to collect her belongings on Tuesday, December 4 at about 11am. The suspect tried to persuade his wife [to come] back. The request was turned down by the victim. It is alleged that the suspect then accosted the victim and raped her.
“It is not clear if the relatives of the suspect were around when the alleged rape was committed. The 35-year-old woman opened case of rape against her husband.”
