Student who went to drowning friend's rescue is also missing

Two young colllege men are feared to have drowned at East London's Eastern Beach after they were caught in a rip current.
The incident took place on a windy Thursday afternoon. East London police spokesperson Warrant Officer Hazel Mqala said the two are believed to be part of a group of TVET College students who were bathing at the beach.
Mqala said one of the group of friends got into difficulty while in the water and another one dived in an attempt to rescue the friend.
“He also struggled to swim against the rip current and they both disappeared. It is alleged that there are two people that have been drowned, we dispatched the search-and-rescue police after community members called our emergency line. We have not found the bodies.”..
