Doctor assaulted by protestors

A doctor has been assaulted at Zithulele Hospital after trying to negotiate with protestors.
Health MEC Helen Sauls-August has described the attack as "terrorising behaviour", saying it was unacceptable that health care professionals are not allowed to carry on with their work.
“The terrorising behaviour of Zithulele community is unacceptable. Health personnel should be allowed to do their work without any disruptions as they provide an essential service,” said Sauls-August.
The community members were striking about the lack of electricity in the area, and they were trying to force the hospital staff to join in the protest. The protestors also blocked ambulances from entering or leaving the hospital...
