Woman in baby snatch case in court again next month
Asiphe Cetywayo, the woman who allegedly snatched Kamvalethu “Kamva” Ncwadi, 2, from the verandah of her Southernwood house on December 16 2018, will appear in court again on March 8.
Cetywayo, who was seven months pregnant at the time, was denied bail in the East London magistrate’s court on January 11. Kamva is currently living with her grandmother, Nomsa Mayekisa, in Mdantsane.
She was playing on the verandah of her family’s home in St Peters Road on the afternoon of December 16 2018 when she was allegedly taken by the woman.
The toddler was found in the early hours of New Year’s Day inside an RDP home in Mzamomhle township in Gonubie, where she was lying under piles of blankets, her tiny body covered with sores and dirt under her nails...
