An Eastern Cape head of Department was suspended on Friday.
The Dispatch has seen a copy of the letter Premier Phumulo Masualle wrote earlier on Friday informing the accounting officer about his decision.
Masualle sighted, among others, "embarrassing administrative failures that have beset the department," as the reason for suspending the senior official.
