Buffalo City Metro will hand out vouchers aimed at mitigating poverty in the city during the Covid-19 lockdown today.
In a press briefing on Friday, mayor Xola Pakati announced that 800 people per ward would receive R750 each.
The voucher system will be accepted in some BCM shops, Pakati said, and ward councillors would communicate further details to their respective residents.
