Eastern Cape police on Thursday announced that they had arrested a 60 year old woman as well as her sons, aged 17 and 30, and her 25-year-old daughter, following the murder of the woman's husband, 65, on Wednesday.
Detectives from Ngqeleni arrested the four family members at Mngcibe, near Ngqeleni in the O.R. Tambo district.
Police alleged that the family members fought with the deceased at their homestead and took turns to assault and he later succumbed to his injuries.
The family members are due to appear before the Ngqeleni Magistrate Court on Friday to face murder charges.
