Mdantsane residents were woken up by raging flames, as the members of the BCM Amalgamation of Business Forum closed all access roads of the township due to a conflict between the forum and BCM.

Organiser, Anele Kinana, said they have been trying to engage with BCM regarding business proposals and job employment, but their concerns have fallen on deaf ears.

On the N2, traffic to the Fort Jackson off-ramp was backed up almost as far back as Edgerton train station.

At the Nahoon Dam off-ramps, cars were backed up waiting to enter Mdantsane while there was a small contingent of Buffalo City Metro traffic police at the off-ramp leading to East London.

This is a developing story.
